Looking back on Birdy In The Sky Golf Tour

The Aerobotics and Suzuki nationwide golf tour exceeded all of our expectations and now that it’s come to an end, we can sit back and reflect on what was an epic event series!

Over the course of the tour, we welcomed 250+ clients and partners onto world-class golf courses for a fun-filled day of friendly competition, delicious food and networking with other growers and role players in the agriculture space.

Birdy In The Sky Golf Tour partners included Suzuki, King Price Insurance, Nedbank, InteliGro, Humansdorp Co-op, AgriSA, Viking, Real IPM, Allesbeste Padstal, Unigro, Landbouweekblad, Mascor, Macadamia SA and Pacys.

Good times at the King Price Insurance hole.

One of the highlights was certainly hosting two high-profile guests to share their insights on the 2019 Rugby World Cup: Jean de Villiers and Stefan Terblanche.

Jean de Villers shares stories from his rugby career at Pearl Valley Golf Course in Paarl, Cape Town.

Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a buffet breakfast followed by a late morning tee-off during which each hole was manned by one of our partners who made the space their own!

Guests at the event in Paarl participated in our Scout Challenge, a game which involved the players using our mobile app, Aeroview InField, to complete a number of challenges throughout the golf course. The winners took home awesome goodie bags.

On offer were beverages from Jagermeister to Energade, snacks and canapes that ranged from chocolates to baguettes with avocado and smoked salmon. Each golf day was nothing short of festive and this did not end with the game.

The fun continued through the gala dinners, where prizes that included drones, bottles of liqueur and cash were awarded for our Scout Challenge, raffle and more.

Many of our guests stayed well past dinner and raved about the event as a whole.

One such review came from an Aerobotics Macadamia Farmer, Andrew Doré:

“Thank you Aerobotics for inviting me to participate in the KZN leg of your golf tour. The event was a great success as we were treated to a fantastic game of golf and excellent hospitality. Insights into the technology behind your brand to enhance and optimize agriculture left a strong impression. I wish the team all the best in strengthening your strong position in the market.”

Feedback like this makes the hours spent planning and organizing our golf tour 100% worth it!

Thank you for joining the #ATeam for an unforgettable event series – until next time!
